| MANTRA Symposium at MIT In May, we were able to attend the MANTRA Symposium, which took place as part of the CAMS Cybersecurity Innovation Symposium at MIT in Boston. It was very inspiring to be surrounded by so many bright minds discussing the future of cyber resilience and cybersecurity supply chains. We were especially pleased to present our work on Project Mantra during the workshop led by Prof. Raphael ( Rafi ) Yahalom. In the project, we are exploring how the possibilities of federated learning and large language models can improve threat detection in the supply chain. It was a very interesting week in Boston, packed with the current state of cybersecurity and the methods needed to meet the challenges of the next 5 years. |
| Successful doctoral examination Meike Ullrich from the Business Information Systems research group successfully completed her oral doctoral examination on 10.06.2024. In her dissertation entitled "Competence-oriented e-assessment for graphical modeling in university teaching", she combined and worked on topics from university didactics with the research topics of the research group. |
| PePP network meeting 2024 At the PePP Network Meeting 2024 on June 11, 2024 at the University of Freiburg, exciting topics were discussed as part of the project network "Partnership for innovative e-examinations" of the state universities of Baden-Württemberg. The BIS research group was involved on this day with a workshop on the e-assessment platform KEA-Mod for graphical modeling in examination use (Gunther Schiefer and Meike Ullrich), and also participated in the panel discussion on digital examinations and sustainability (Selina Schüler). |
